Happy Thanksgiving Day, Everyone!
Just thought I'd mark this holiday by sharing these screenshots, and of course the video itself, of the newest TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens that was revealed online today. The commercial aired during a National Football League game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers tonight (Chicago won, 17-13, in case you were wondering). As you can see, this spot focused on the evil First Order...with one clip showing the Order's solar system-destroying superweapon known as Starkiller Base becoming activated for the first time, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) leading Stormtroopers into battle, and more footage depicting Resistance X-Wing fighters engaged in fierce dogfights with First Order TIE Fighters above Starkiller Base. But enough of these descriptions—gaze at these video stills and then check out the TV spot itself at the very bottom of this entry. December is soon upon us!

Captain America: Civil War...
Check out the new trailer for Marvel's biggest film of 2016! Considering the fact that Iron Man and all but two of the Avengers will make an appearance in Captain America: Civil War (Thor and the Hulk are the only ones who are no-shows in this movie), it's no wonder that Warner Bros has moved the release date for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice up to March 25 of next year (Dawn of Justice was originally supposed to come out on May 6, 2016...which is the day that the third Captain America flick will be released). Tom Holland's Spider-Man is nowhere to be seen in this preview, but that's okay. Methinks that Marvel wants to keep footage of the new Spider-Man under wraps to some degree the same way that J.J. Abrams is keeping the story of Luke Skywalker a secret during The Force Awakens' marketing campaign. So at what point in Civil War will Captain America and Iron Man stop fighting and just hug it out? Thanos lurks on the horizon.

Less Than A Month Till The Force Is Awakened...
As the marketing campaign for Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to amp up in the final weeks before the most anticipated film of 2015 invades theaters, just thought I'd share these recent photos that I took of Star Wars' growing presence (it that was even possible) in the public and media. The cardboard marquee shown above is displayed at the AMC 20 theater in my hometown; I took a picture of it right after I watched the film The 33 (which is about the 2010 Chile mining accident... The movie was good) last week. The image below shows the three Star Wars magazines that I bought this past weekend. The Entertainment Weekly issue was bought at Barnes & Noble last Friday, while the Newsweek mag and that Movie Magic issue was bought at Stater Brothers and Walmart on Saturday, respectively. I'm sure that more magazines with covers devoted to Episode VII will be hitting the stands at bookstores over the next 20-plus days.
Disney and Lucasfilm would be pretty amused at how easy it is to take money from me when it comes to promoting the next installment in that Galaxy far, far away!

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS... EW Strikes Again!
Looks like I'm gonna have to head back to Barnes & Noble bookstore over the next two weeks, as Entertainment Weekly will once again have a special issue that's devoted to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Personally speaking, I want the issue that has the cover of Rey (Daisy Ridley) above. Can't wait to find out just how much she isn't "no one" in the overall Star Wars mythology when Episode VII is unleashed onto the world next month...
