On This Day in 2002: Remembering BLADE II...
20 years ago today, Blade II—the best film in New Line Cinema's comic book trilogy—was released in theaters nationwide. I didn't actually watch the movie itself till a few years later (can't remember if it was on DVD or VHS tape), but this horror-action flick was so darn awesome that I wanted to commemorate its theatrical release here!
I look forward to Mahershala Ali's take on the 'daywalker' when Marvel Studios releases its version of Blade at the multiplex...whenever that will be (I reckon no later than the fall of 2023). Will it have reaper vampires (shown above and below) like in the Wesley Snipes movies? Only Guillermo del Toro, director of Blade II, can come up with such horrifyingly-cool monsters in his hit horror-action flick! Happy Monday.
